Wichita Business Journal: Scheideman takes over as executive director at FlagshipKansas.Tech
By Kirk Seminoff
Ashley Scheideman has begun duties as executive director at FlagshipKansas.Tech, the Wichita nonprofit supporting technology companies through innovation and awareness.
Scheideman most recently was an executive director for almost five years at Youth Entrepreneurs. She began in 2016 as executive director of the Central Region, then in 2018 became executive director for stakeholder relations and business development. Before Youth Entrepreneurs, she spent 10 years in leadership at the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Kansas.
“It’s important that we get the word out about the numerous opportunities for tech industry expansion right here in our state – by supporting our current tech companies, attracting new tech companies, and growing tech jobs,” Scheideman said in a statement. “I’m thrilled to join the FlagshipKansas.Tech team, to amplify our goal of making Kansas a top priority for tech companies, talent, and education.”
At FlagshipKansas.Tech, she'll be charged with forwarding the tech council forward through stakeholder connections.
"Ashley's energy and drive will help FlagshipKansas.Tech gain even more traction,” said Robin Huber, vice president/general manager of NetApp and board chair of FlagshipKansas.Tech. “We look forward to the programs, communication efforts, and relationship building she will use to connect key stakeholders so that Kansas technology can reach new heights."
Scheideman replaces Lisa Roberts Proffitt, who left in March after 10 months.
