A recent edition of the Wichita Business Journal featured several components of Wichita’s growing startup ecosystem. One section covered “People You Should Know in Wichita’s Startup Scene” and listed our co-founders Curt Gridley and Tracy Hoover. Below is a brief excerpt from their interview.
Describe the kind of person, company or idea that could get the most out of Groover Labs. At what stage will they be most successful coming through your doors?
We generally cater to tech-enabled companies and individuals, including remote workers who benefit from being in a collaborative work environment. We provide flexible memberships such that small startups can adjust their footprint to meet their needs on a month-to-month basis. And with our recent $1.15-million BASE grant from the state of Kansas, we are looking forward to partnering with Knowmadics to support continued growth in the region’s cybersecurity sector.
While our coworking facilities support software, service and remote workers, in our maker labs we help companies design, prototype and initial manufacturing of physical products. By supporting this hardtech development in close proximity to office, classroom and event spaces, we provide all the pieces under one roof to enable efficient development of cutting-edge products.
