The team at Revolution, the DC-based investment firm led by tech pioneer Steve Case, announced that their RISE OF THE REST ® tour, originally scheduled for April 2020, will be returning this fall to the Heartland! These cities were selected nearly two years ago, and after a long wait during the COVID-19 pandemic, Rise of the Rest is finally making the trip.
Since 2014, Steve and team have logged more than 10,000 miles via bus visiting 43 rising cities across the country. At the end of each day on tour, there is a startup pitch competition for companies based that city and the rise of the Rest Fund invests $100,000 in the winning company.
In addition to the pitch competition, RISE OF THE REST ® will spend the day bringing together local entrepreneurs, businesses, non-profits, universities, and public officials to discuss the opportunities and challenges of fostering startup growth and host a fireside chat covering the opportunities for regional entrepreneurship today.
