We are please to announce the addition of Karen Montiel to the Office Hours Program. Montiel is a tax manager with Regier, Carr & Monroe LLP. During tax season, she will only participate on the 3rd Friday of each month. After tax season, Montiel will attend on both the 1st and 3rd Friday of each month. She graduated from the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities in 2011 with her degree in accounting. After spending a short time as a sales manager, she started her career in public accounting in 2012 and obtained her CPA license in 2013. Karen works with clients in many sectors including non-profit, legal, healthcare, and construction. In her time in public accounting she has worked on companies ranging from small, family owned businesses to large partnerships and corporations that involve advanced tax strategies.
Montiel joins several other organizations and mentors who are offering their time for free to help entrepreneurs and founders navigate the early stages of their startups. Other participants include John Trowbridge of AGH, Foreman Law, NXTUS, Brain Sinew, and Jason Toevs of Quicc.

John Trowbridge, SVP at AGH
John Trowbridge, Senior Vice President of Business Development with AGH CPAs and Advisors, has worked as a CPA and banker with small- and medium-sized businesses. Trowbridge brings a wide range of expertise and experience to AGH clients from all industries and at all phases of development. Foreman Law
The attorneys at Foreman law have years of experience working with startups in the region and on a daily basis advise startup companies at all life cycle stages concerning legal and practical considerations related to formation, operation, and liquidity events. Jason Toevs, Co-founder and CTO at Quicc
Toevs is the CTO and Head of Product for Quicc. His focus is on bridging the gaps between ideas, the tech how-to and investor relationships. He has helped raise 1.3M+ in startup funding along with building and leading products with local and foreign teams, as well as no-code projects to customer revenue. If you need to turn your tech or app idea into revenue, he can give you the confidence and early steps to get going with honest feedback on roadblocks or blindspots.
Brian Wiens
Wiens is graphic designer and brand strategist. He has worked as a design leader for more than 10 years with experience working with national brands and with local mom and pop shops. Wiens is passionate about building brands and designs driven by story and data. He believes that when a brand captures your voice, the connection brings energy—and movement—that propels your business forward.
