Longtime Groover Labs member Deborah Gladney, co-founder and CEO of WorkTorch, the only career discovery platform for the service economy, testified before the House Finance Subcommittee on Capital Markets on Wednesday, February 8. The subcommittee is a part of the U.S. House Financial Services Committee. The hearing focused on improving funding opportunities for early-stage startups.
Congresswoman Ann Wagner (R-MO), chair of the subcommittee, opened the hearing by saying their purpose was to “examine the ways in which Congress can give main street investors better access to investment opportunities that have been historically available for” accredited investors.
