We added a new pod of desks, and we made them in the Maker Labs. Over the past few months, we’ve added a lot of new members, so we needed create some more space.
Our hotseats are the easiest and most affordable membership level we offer on a month-to-month basis. But what are they? Hotseats are open-area workstations that are available to members and day pass users on a first-come, first-served basis. They don’t have permanent owners and cannot be formally reserved.

We are thrilled to receive funding from the Building a Stronger Economy (BASE) 2.0 economic development grant for our CyberLink Infrastructure Expansion Project. BASE funds are intended to address infrastructure and economic development needs, and our grant award will allow us to continue critical projects we had to cancel or delay because of the Covid-19 global pandemic.
The Sundance Film Festival will take place in Park City, Utah and New York, and Ohio, and Tennessee, and Kansas, and California, and Florida. The festival, which runs from Jan. 28 through Feb. 3, is rolling out in numerous cities across the country as the gathering goes virtual because of Covid-19.

When COVID-19 began raging in the U.S., Deborah Gladney was pregnant and working two jobs, while raising two children under five. Her sister, Angela Muhwezi-Hall, was in the hospital with the virus. The last thing you’d expect these sisters to do was start a business – which is what they did.
We will be closed on the following days for the November holiday season: 11/23, closed at noon (the day before Thanksgiving); 11/24: closed (Thanksgiving); and 11/25: closed (Black Friday). As a reminder, dedicated desk and private office members have 24/7 access to the building, so they are welcome to work during these days. We wish everyone a safe and happy holiday break. FlagshipKansas.Tech joins Groover Labs. It makes sense, since its founders share the organization’s passion for technology, Wichita and Kansas. Groover Labs is a non-profit whose mission is to foster growth in the startup community by providing a location where entrepreneurs can share ideas.
The Wichita Manufacturer’s Association (WMA) held its monthly member meeting in our event venue on Wednesday. After the event, attendees — both in person and online — went on a tour of Groover Labs with Co-founder Curt Gridley.
Sisters Angela and Deborah founded QuickHire earlier this year during the height of the Covid-19 pandemic. QuickHire is an app that applies swipe-based features to connect job seekers with available jobs in industries like delivery, grocers, and manufacturers.
