Partnership Showcase : FLEXcon
Groover Labs and Wichita State University are excited to announce their first Partnership Showcase, a panel discussion and networking event. The event takes place at Groover Labs on Monday, October 25 from 4-6 p.m., and we hope you’ll join us. In-person registration is here and registration for the virtual option is here.
The Partnership Showcase will feature the FLEXcon Company in a discussion entitled “Roll-to-Roll Processing: What It Is and What Does It Mean for Wichita-Based Companies and Startups.” From solar panels to thin-film batteries, from coating textiles to fuel cell membranes – roll-to-roll processing is a versatile fabrication method with important implications for Wichita companies and start-ups alike. This processing technique enables fluid materials to be embedded, coated, printed, and laminated onto a flexible rolled substrate material. Although roll-to-roll processing has been around for many years, the field has enormous capacity to introduce state-of-the-art technologies that may disrupt existing industries.
FLEXcon is a US-based company headquartered in Spencer, Massachusetts and is recognized as a world leader in roll-to-roll processing with more than 60 years of experience in this area. FLEXcon’s CEO Lavon Winkler and other members of its executive team will share their industry knowledge and expertise with the Wichita community and discuss how roll-to-roll processing can – and is – disrupting industries throughout the world.
The first hour of the event will focus on FLEXcon’s presentation on roll-to-roll processing, and the second hour of the event will be a networking opportunity with drinks and light snacks.
