The Knowmadics Cyber Security of Excellence at Groover Labs
In early November, we hosted the launch of Knowmadics’ Cyber Center of Excellence at Groover Labs. There were more than 90 people on hand to hear from U.S. Senator Jerry Moran, Knowmadics CEO Paul Maguire, Greater Wichita Partnership CEO Jeff Fluhr, and our co-founder Curt Gridley. It was really great to celebrate another win for Wichita, and rewarding to see people who aren’t from Wichita—the Knowmadics team—understand how much this partnership means not just to Groover Labs, but to all of us in Wichita who are working so hard to grow tech in the region.
For us, Knowmadics is an ideal anchor member. We wanted our second floor to be part of Groover Labs as a whole and not a separate space. When we showed it to the Knowadmics leadership team, they loved it. There’s plenty of space for their lab activities, plus they’ll have access to the amenities available to all of our members on our ground floor. Most importantly, they understood our vision and wanted to be part of it.
And we are thrilled at the opportunities Knowmadics will bring to Groover Labs and to Wichita. Cybersecurity is an important strength for Wichita with the presence of the 184th Wing at McConnell Air Force Base as well as other cybersecurity firms that have recently located here - a strength we need to continue to develop. The presence of Knowmadics will accelerate growth in this industry that is so important, from national security all the way down to the security of our personal IoT devices.
Thank you to everyone who came out to support us and celebrate with us!
