IdeaTek in the news

One of our members, IdeaTek, was in the news recently. On Monday, October 25, the Wichita Eagle, in partnership with the Kansas Reflector, published an article about how CARES Act relief money to the tune of $50 million has expanded broadband internet access in rural communities across Kansas.

Daniel Freisen, IdeaTek’s founder and chief innovation officer, says the company “took on 66 broadband projects in rural, underserved areas in Kansas. Contracts valued at $18 million unleased dozens of plows and bore machines. It led to the installation of hundreds of miles of cable and construction of 70 telecommunications towers.” The article says IdeaTek’s expansions have created a network capable of serving over 13,000 homes and businesses.

IdeaTek is the service provider for our gigabit fiber internet access, a critical tool for entrepreneurship and our growing ecosystem. IdeaTek’s Wichita office is located at Groover Labs.
